Helen Eberhardt, 94, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Sacred Heart Senior Living, Northampton. She was the wife of the late Alfred F., who passed away on Oct. 7, 2019. Born December 5, 1927, in Egypt, PA, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Kathryn (Kutzera) Pardo. Helen and Alfred were the owners of the Alliance Hotel. She also worked at TAMA Manufacturing and in the cafeteria for the Northampton School District. Helen was a member of Queenship of Mary Church. Survivors: daughters, Renee, wife of Dr. Louis Morsbach, and Dr. Mary Eberhardt, wife of Todd DiGregorio; grandson, Freddy DiGregorio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her daughter, Kathleen, passed away in 2012. Helen was predeceased by her sisters, Ann and Katie, and brothers, John, Mike, and Charlie. Here are a few things that you may or may not have known about Helen: She loved to feed family, friends, strangers and dogs. As soon as you entered her home, you were offered something to eat and drink. She was a devout Catholic and prayed the rosary every day. She enjoyed going to the casinos She liked to play the slot machines. She liked Bingo and usually gave away her winnings. She was generous and kind and loved animals. Although she will continue to live in our memories, losing her has broken our hearts.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 9 th at 10:30 a.m. in the Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton Family and friends may call Saturday morning from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 st St., Northampton. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to Family Pillars Hospice, 3910 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017 or the Peaceable Kingdom Shelter for animals, 1049 MacArthur Road, Whitehall, PA 18052, in loving memory of Helen. Online condolences may be offered below.
