Helen T. "Dusty" Paul, 96, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. Helen was the wife of the late Edward E., who passed away in 1999. They shared 49 years of marriage together. Born June 4, 1925, in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Kopfensteiner) Yurasits. Helen worked at the former Cement National Bank and Bridesburg Foundry for many years. Helen was a member of Queenship of Mary Church and its former Our Lady of Hungary choir. She was also active with the Catholic War Veteran Ladies Auxiliary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. Helen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved entertaining people as a performer in the Catholic War recitals and in ethnic dance shows. Helen was a great cook and baker. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor. Helen got her nickname from playing softball for St. John Capistrano. The family would like to thank AseraCare Hospice for their wonderful care for Helen.
Survivors: daughter, Karen, wife of Stephen Gabryluk; granddaughters, Tara Martino, and Leah Gabryluk, wife of Gabriel Melendez; great-grandsons, Niko, Alek, Cyrus, Paxton, and Enzo; sister, Theresa Erkinger; and brother, John Yurasits and wife, Mary. Helen was predeceased by her sister, Ann Stimpfl.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wed., Feb. 9 th at 10:30 a.m. in the church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. in the church. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton. Arrangements are under the direction of Reichel Funeral Home, Northampton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in loving memory of Helen. Online condolences may be offered below.
