Obituary

Hedwig "Hattie" Reinish, 97, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth. She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Reinish, who passed away in 2021. Born August 31, 1926, in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Lang) Horvath. Hattie worked at the former Clyde Shirt Factory in Northampton for 42 years. After retiring, she volunteered in the cafeteria at Our Lady of Hungary School. Hattie was a member of Queenship of Mary Church and the Altar & Rosary Society. She was also active with the Catholic War Veterans Post 454 Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors: daughters, Pamela Yost, Antoinette Long and husband, James; grandchildren, Jason Yost, Jeremy Kressly, Jaime Kressly, and Victoria Long; great-granddaughter, Kayla Kressly; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son-in-law, Robert Yost, and her brothers and sisters.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 5th at 10:30 a.m. in Assumption BVM Church, 22nd St. and Washington Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may gather on Monday morning from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery.
