George M. Stasko, Sr., 78 of Slatington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 18, 2024 in Lehigh Valley Hospice Inpatient Unit, Allentown. Born on April 22, 1946 in Northampton, he was a son of the late George and Agnes (Wolfer) Stasko. George and his wife, Sheila (Faryna) celebrated 60 years of marriage together. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and was employed at Tarkett for over 35 years. After retirement, he worked for ACE Hardware in Northampton for several years. He was a faithful member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Slatington where he served as a lector. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus Calvary Council #528 for many years.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, George is survived by children, Kelly Griffin and husband, Bill, Regina Hill and husband Bob Speicher, Michael Stasko and wife Stacey, George Stasko Jr. and wife Kimberly, Adelaide Erschen, John Stasko; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Sisters, Lillian, Dorothy, and a brother Robert preceded George in death.

Services: Family and friends are invited to attend a calling hour on Tuesday, May 28th from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in Assumption BVM Church, 649 W. Washington St., Slatington. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church. Interment will be private. Arrangements are under the care of Reichel Funeral Home, Northampton.
