Obituary

George Paluda, 89, of Northampton passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Anna T. (Kornfeind) Paluda for 65 years. Born April 13, 1927 in Egypt, he was the son of the late Michael Yovich and Anna (Rusin) Paluda. George worked for Jones Motor Co. for 35 years as a truck driver. He was a member of Teamsters 773. George honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a lifelong member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 454. George was also a lifelong member and usher at Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton. The family wishes to thank Lehigh Valley Hospice for their care and compassion provided to our husband/father.

Survivors: wife, Anna; daughters, Marianne, wife of Kenneth Morgan, Jane Paluda and companion Richard, and Annie, wife of Phil Stephens; grandsons, Patrick Morgan and wife Lee Ann and Taylor Stephens; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

Services: Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, December 29th at 10:30 a.m. at the Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Inurnment will follow at Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be presented to the church c/o funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Reichel Funeral Home, Northampton. Online condolences may be submitted below.
