Fred Richard "Fritz" Meisner, Sr., 76, of Whitehall, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at his beloved hunting trailer in Hazleton. Fred and his loving wife, Margaret M. "Penny" (Corbin), celebrated 39 years of marriage on Oct. 20th. Born September 9, 1947, in Abington, he was a son of the late Robert and Irene (Moser) Meisner. Fred worked at J.C. Morrissey as a heavy machine operator. He was of the catholic faith. Fred honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He was very active with the Northampton VFW Post 4714 and served multiple times as post commander and as a past secretary. He loved to hunt and made many memories at his hunting trailer.

In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by daughter-in-law, Lara Boshell and husband, Edward; stepdaughters, Debra Pettine and Sheri-Lynn Snedtaker; granddaughters, Rylee and Emma; brothers, Kenny, Edward and wife, Debbie, and Johnny and wife, Kim; and several nieces and nephews. Fred was predeceased by his sons, Fred Jr. and Ryan, and siblings, Emil, Bobby, Keith, David, and Cheryl.

Services: Family and friends may call on Monday, Oct. 30th from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. A prayer service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton.
