Francisca (Panchi) Figueroa, 91, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Panchi had a special way of expressing her affection, and it was through the art of cooking. Whether it was a simple bowl of soup or an extravagant holiday feast, she poured her heart into every ingredient. She believed that food was not just sustenance; it was a way to connect, nourish the soul, heal, and to celebrate.

She was the wife of the late Luis Felipe Figueroa. Born March 9, 1933, in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Faustino and Carmen (Martinez) Alicea. Survivors:  her son, Luis Alberto Figueroa and wife, Esther; daughter, Aileen Astacio and husband, Angel; daughter, Maritza Antonetty; and son, Roberto Figueroa; her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services: Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 12th at 10:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St. Northampton. Family and friends may call on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time to service in the funeral home. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Alzheimer's Association in Francisca's memory. Online condolences may be offered below.
