She was born on December 24, 1929, in Palmer Township, to the late Vernon and Anna (Miller) Altemose. She was also a stepdaughter to the late Elda Stout Altemose.

Frances graduated from Nazareth High School in 1948 and married her high school sweetheart, Donald Stoudt, on June 24, 1950. They celebrated 65 years of marriage in June 2015, just six weeks prior to Donald's passing.

After raising four children, Frances went to work as a head cook in the cafeteria at Nazareth High School. She also worked as a nurse aide for 19 years at Gracedale County Home prior to her retirement in 1991.

Frances was a life-long member of St. Peter's UCC, Tatamy, PA, where she was baptized, confirmed, married, and later in life served as the treasurer for the woman's guild. Frances and Donald were both instrumental in the fund-raising efforts of baking pies at St. Peter's UCC.

Frances and Donald enjoyed traveling including many cruises and traveling to Alaska, the Holy Land, Germany, Hawaii, and Hilton Head Island.

She will be missed dearly by her four loving children: Daughters, Nanette Chladny (Edward), Cheryl Lichner (Rev. Dr. F Thomas Lichner), both of Macungie, PA, along with sons, Randy Stoudt (Amy) of Nazareth, PA, and Jeff Stoudt (Brenda) of Plainfield Township, PA.

She was a grandmother to five wonderful grandchildren: Jessica Gauthier Simpson (Peter), Christy Klemick (Andy), Matthew Stoudt (Kelly), Todd Stoudt and Ali Higgs (Bryce), along with seven great-grandchildren: Camden, Kaylyn, Alexia, Oakley, Everett, Harper, and Emma.

Frances is survived by one sister, Marion Starner, of New Holland PA, and was predeceased by her husband, Donald; sisters, Alice Pristash and Edith Powell; and brothers, Elwood Altemose and Vernon Altemose Jr.
