Obituary

Elsie Marcin, 95, of Whitehall passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2016 in Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. Elsie was born in Whitehall (Stiles) on November 14, 1921 to the late Paul and Johanna (Bauer) Brem. Beloved wife of Joseph Marcin for 65 years celebrating their anniversary on September 15th. A lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall. Elsie, an expert seamstress, worked as a sewing machine operator at different factories. Elsie lived to help her family and friends. She loved to travel. She and her husband, Joseph, took their family on numerous vacations including, Hawaii, Mexico, Aruba, Jamaica and Disney World. She accompanied her husband, Joseph, to 26 Penn State Bowl games.

Survivors: She will be sorely missed by husband, Joseph and daughters, Judith, wife of Thomas Thomasik and Karen, wife of George Boksan; grandsons, Erik Thomasik and wife Erin, Jonathan Boksan and wife Laura; brother, John Brem of Coplay; and several nieces and nephews. Elsie was predeceased by sisters, Emma Liebezeit, Amelia Brem, Joan Kroboth, Rose Imp, Agnes Bauer, Helen Lazor and brother, Rudolph Brem.

Services: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 3024 S. Ruch St., Whitehall. A luncheon will follow in loving memory of Elsie. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be presented to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Dream Come True or a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Reichel Funeral Home, Northampton. Online condolences may be submitted below
