Elsa S. Benninger, 92, of Whitehall, passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 6, 2021 in her home. She was the wife of the late Raymond Benninger. Born June 5, 1929, in Coplay, she was the daughter of the late Rupert and Stella (Keppel) Hanzl. Elsa worked at Western Electric for many years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was a choir member. She worked at several school cafeterias after retiring from Western Electric.

Survivors: daughter, Cathy, wife of Darin Baus; grandchildren, Courtney, wife of Joseph Miller and Dillon Baus; great grandchildren, Kylie, Joseph and Jocelynn; sisters, Barbara Fenstemaker and Elizabeth McCarthy; brother, David Hanzl and his wife, Jane; many nieces and nephews. Elsa was predeceased by her sisters, Stella Legath, Elenor Grace and a brother, Raymond.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday August 12 ^th at 10:00 am Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 4456 Main St., Whitehall. Burial will follow in Arlington Memorial Park, Whitehall. Family and friends may call Wednesday 6 – 8:00 pm in the Reichel Funeral Home 326 E. 21 ^st St. Northampton, PA.
