Eddie Astl, 91, of Northampton, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. Eddie and his wife, Margaret M. (Frisch), celebrated 69 years of marriage on February 5th. Born June 4, 1932, in Northampton, he was a son of the late Stephen and Josephine (Klepeis) Astl. Eddie was a 1950 graduate of Northampton High School. He retired from Mack Trucks in 1991 as a chief steward. He became an active member of the Mack Retirees. Eddie honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Eddie was a life member of the Northampton Fire Co. and a member of the Coplay Saengerbund, where he actively participated with the bowling league. Eddie was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton.

In addition to his wife, Eddie is survived by his son, Rodney and companion, Roseann; daughter, Denise Holota; grandchildren, Jonathan and wife, Meghan, Daniel, and Jenna and fiancé, Nick; great-grandchildren, Brodie, Leo, and Macie; and many nieces and nephews. Eddie was predeceased by brothers, Stephen, Frank, and John, and sisters, Anna, Kathryn, and Helen.
