Dorothy Trinkle, 87, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Richard P. Trinkle, who passed in December 2005. Born February 20, 1938, in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late Mathias and Ida (Wechsler) Geosits. She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. Dorothy was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She always made her family her number one priority. Dorothy was very supportive, attending as many activities as possible that the grandchildren and great-grandchildren were involved in. She was lovingly known by all as "Mamaw."
Survivors: daughter, Victoria Mottau; son, Rick and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Alicia, Stephanie (Jonathan), Eric, Jennifer (Colby), and Kayla (Douglas); great-grandchildren, Gianna, Ava, Dominick, Jackson, Juliana and Olivia; sisters, Ida (Charles) and Helen; brothers, Joseph and John; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Anna, and companion, Charles Dreisbach.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 4th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 4 S. 5th St., Coplay. Family and friends may call on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass in the church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the American Heart Association in Dorothy's memory. Online condolences may be offered below.
