Dorothy D. “Dolly” Sywensky, 93, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill surrounded by her family. Born on June 20, 1932, in Bath, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Daisy (Buskirk) Wuchter. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Russel. She was a graduate of Northampton High School class of 1950. Dorothy was employed by Clyde Shirt Co. for over 35 years until her retirement in 1990. Dorothy was a member of Zion Stone UCC Church in Northampton. 

Survivors: Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Donna and husband, Donald Beers; son-in-law, Stephen Tanczos; granddaughter, Bettina and husband, Jared Wisocky; grandsons, Michael and wife, Jennifer Tanczos, John, Thomas and wife, Sorina Tanczos, Nathan and wife, Heather Beers; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Alexander, Eithan, Arthur Tanczos, Eloise and Julian Beers; sister, Karen Wuchter; brother, Herbert Wuchter; and several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Sharon, sister, Diana Nischan, and brothers, Charles, Truman, Donald, Richard, William, and Theodore Jr., preceded Dorothy in death. 

Services: Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 15th at 11:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Family and friends may gather on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. Interment will be at Zion Cemetery.
