Obituary

Dorothy Najpauer, 88, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late William M., who passed away on Nov. 4, 2013. Born February 6, 1937, in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Struss) Schloffer. Dorothy graduated from Northampton High School in 1955. She started her career as a dispatcher with the Whitehall Police Department and later retired from the Pennsylvania State Police after more than 20 years of dedicated service.  Dorothy was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay. She had a passion for cooking and baking, particularly pierogies and kiffles. She also found great joy in crafting and crocheting.

Survivors: her children, Carol Loy and husband, Mark, William S. and wife, Jane, and Sharon Groller and husband, Timothy; grandchildren, Kyle and wife, Audrey, Mathew and wife, Cara, Stephen and wife, Sara, Alyssa and husband, Matt, and Jessica; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Saoirse, Laila, Crew, and Emery; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Maryann LaPadula.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 15th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter R.C. Church, 4 South 5th St., Coplay. Family and friends may call on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass in the church. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Whitehall.
