Donald Edward Rogan Jr., 86, of Northampton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, at Sacred Heart by the Creek, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on May 6, 1940, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Donald was the son of the late Donald E. Rogan Sr. and Mary (Kohlmeier) Rogan. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1958 and shortly thereafter answered the call to serve his country. Donald proudly served in the United States Navy as a Radioman from 1958 to 1962, stationed aboard the USS Kepler (DD-765) and the USS William V. Pratt (DLG-13), and was honorably discharged.

In 1964, Donald married Patricia Ann (Pruzinsky), beginning a loving and enduring marriage that lasted over 62 years. Together they built a family grounded in faith, hard work, and devotion.

Donald began his career with Mack Trucks in 1965, where he worked faithfully until his retirement in 2000. Over the course of his 35-year career, he held multiple roles, including line worker and mechanic, and served as Committeeman for the United Auto Workers Local 677. His dedication, integrity, and strong work ethic earned him the respect of coworkers and friends alike.

A devoted family man, Donald took great pride in his role as a husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; his sons, Chris Rogan and wife Jennifer of State College, Shawn Rogan and wife Dana of New Holland, and Craig Rogan and wife Rita of Northampton; and his cherished grandchildren, Kyra, Jack, Andy, Josh, Matt, Catie, Cooper, Mary, and Clare. He was preceded in death by his son, Donald D. Rogan. He is also survived by his siblings: Jacqueline “Dolly” Mills of Bethlehem, Eileen Warner of Allentown, and Patrick Rogan of Bethlehem.

Donald had a deep love for his community and spent many years coaching his sons in Little League baseball and later serving as an umpire. He formed lasting friendships as a longtime member of the Northampton Liederkranz Club, where he participated in bowling and dart leagues and worked as a bartender for many years.

Proud of his Irish heritage, Donald was a lifelong fan of Notre Dame football, rarely missing a game. His loyalty to his team was matched only by his devotion to his faith. A lifelong Catholic, Donald served as a lector at St. Michael’s Church in Northampton, and later at St. John the Baptist Church in Whitehall. In his later years, he found comfort in watching Mother Angelica on EWTN and praying the Rosary each evening.

Donald will be remembered for his quiet strength, steady presence, deep faith, and unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy lives on in the lives of those he loved and guided.
