Obituary

Donald D. Rogan, 58, of Northampton, passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Donnie passed away as he lived his life … without complaint, with good humor, and surrounded by friends and loved ones.

Donnie was a graduate of Northampton High School, and proudly served his nation as an aviation mechanic in the U.S. Navy. He worked for many years as a local truck driver and delivery man in the Lehigh Valley. He was also a long-time member of the Northampton Liederkranz and served as membership secretary for many years.

Donnie was a diehard lifelong fan of the University of Notre Dame, the Dallas Cowboys, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and alumni (in spirit) of Princeton University. He was an avid sports card and sports memorabilia collector, with a vast collection built up since childhood. Donnie always found time to give back to the community, playing Santa Claus for many years, and serving as a long time Little League Baseball Coach.

Donnie never failed to lend a hand to anyone who needed help – moving furniture, giving a ride, or providing babysitting services. He was always the life of the party, well known for "putting on a show" at parties, weddings and other celebrations. His exploits on the dance floor are legendary in Eastern PA.

Donnie is survived by his parents, Donald and Patricia (Pruzinsky) Rogan of Northampton, brothers, Chris (and wife Jen) of State College, Shawn (and wife Dana) of New Holland, and Craig (and wife Rita) of Northampton. Uncle Donnie is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews, Kyra, Jack, Andy, Josh, Matt, Mary, Clare, Catie, and Cooper Rogan.
