Dolores Ann Higgins, 90 formerly of Northampton and Heather Glen Senior Living, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2026 in Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Fountain Hill. Born on February 25, 1936 in Lansford, PA, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Lupco) Swider. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2018. She was a graduate of Lansford High School and was employed as a salesclerk for Lanco/Giant food stores for 25 years, retiring in 1999. Dolores was a member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Northampton, a life member of the Coplay Saengerbund and a charter member of the former Coplay Lioness Club from 1990 until 2013. She was an avid bowler, participating in various leagues throughout the area. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling to Atlantic City and playing cards with her friends at Heather Glen. 

Survivors: Dolores is survived by her daughter, Roberta and husband Matthew Mortimer; son, Mark and wife Katina Higgins; grandchildren, Elliot, Lauren, Amanda, Logan, Carter, Myles, Trina; great grandson, Madden and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, a son David and brothers, Robert, John, Andrew Jr., and Kenneth preceded Dolores in death. 

Services: Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 10th at 11:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Family and friends may gather on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Assumption BVM Mausoleum. 

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in loving memory of Dolores.
