Obituary

Darlene M. Dimmick, 83, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Liza's House, Danielsville, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Maurice S. Dimmick, who passed away in 2020. Born May 4, 1942, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Truman G. and Sadie B. (Roth) Ritter. Darlene worked as a librarian at the Northampton Public Library and Northampton County Community College. She was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Whitehall. In her free time, Darlene enjoyed volunteering at her church and the Whitehall Area Food Bank. She loved to travel and spend time in her garden.

Survivors: her children, Mark M., Anita L. Hozza and husband, Martin, and Matthew H. and wife, Shelly; 6 grandchildren; sister-in-law, Grace Ritter; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, William Krumanocker and Gary Ritter.

Services: Family and friends may gather on Monday, August 18th from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the church, 3900 Mechanicsville Rd., Whitehall. Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the church. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Northampton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Darlene's memory. Online condolences may be offered below.
