Colleen M. Tomline, 77, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 31, 2023. Born November 11, 1945, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Stephen S. and Josephine A. (Spanitz) Spaits. Colleen graduated as a registered nurse from Allentown Hospital School of Nursing in 1969. She began her career as an emergency room nurse, but later became a home health visiting nurse. Colleen worked at the former Allentown Sacred Heart Hospital and the former Allentown Hospital for many years. She was well respected by her colleagues and the families she served. Colleen always gave more than she received in all aspects of her life. She loved to help others and always did it with love in her heart. Colleen was a member of Queenship of Mary Church. She enjoyed classical music and playing her piano. Colleen was a great artist and loved painting and drawing.

Survivors: daughter, Randie E. Stewart; brother, Vincent S. Spaits and companion, Jennifer Johnson; niece, Corinna Tomline; and her beloved cats, Sabrina and Jackie. Colleen was predeceased by her brothers, Theodore Spaits and Stephen Tomline.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 11 ^th at 10:30 a.m. in the church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may gather Tuesday from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. in the church. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Whitehall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to Lehigh Valley Humane Society and Vet Clinic, 640 Dixon St., Allentown, PA 18103 in loving memory of Colleen. Online condolences may be offered below.
