Charles B. May, 98 of Northampton passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. Born on February 18, 1921 in Corry, PA he was a son of the late Orville and Daisy (Bell) May. Charles and his wife, Mary (Black) Schmidt-May celebrated 24 years of marriage together. He was employed as a system analyst for IBM for over 45 years. In addition, he worked for Daytona Speedway as a security officer for many years. Charles honorably served our country in the US Air Force during WWII. He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church in Northampton, where he loved to volunteer for many church functions.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by his daughter, Carol Bell and husband Kerry; 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, Mary's loving family and great friend, Joseph Smar. Charles was preceded in death by son, David, 4 brothers and a sister.

Services: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 18 ^th at 10:00 a.m. in the church, 2870 Pheasant Drive (Route 248), Northampton. Family and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the church. Interment will be private in New York. Reichel Funeral Home, Northampton are handling arrangements.
