Catherine C. Martnick, 90, of Whitehall, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. Born October 16, 1935, in Hazleton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Katherine (Kakal) Karmonick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank. Catherine was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Coplay, where she sang in the choir and participated in the Rosary Society for many years. She was also an avid bowler. 

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Baker; sons Eugene Martnick and his wife, Anne Marie, and Mark Martnick and his wife, Regina; grandchildren Stephen, Michelle, Matthew, Rachel, Kyle, David, Lauren, and Nicholas; great-grandchildren Jozalyn, Zya, Xander, Gavin, Rey, and Aerith; sisters Rosemary Waldron and Mary Hoegg and her husband, James; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Catherine was preceded in death by her son, Christopher; sister, Nancy Filipek; and brothers, James and Stephen. 

Services: Family and friends may gather Saturday, September 5th, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church, 4 So. 5th St., Coplay. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Reichel Funeral Home, Northampton.
