Obituary

Catherine N. Macsisak, 94, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late Michael Macsisak, who passed away in February 1995. Born June 21, 1931, in Ormrod, she was a daughter of the late Paul Sr. and Tekla (Gulla) Nush. Catherine worked at the former Ironton Fashions for 20 years until 1957, her career then progressed at AT&T for 18 years. She retired as a financial secretary at ILGWU. Catherine was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church and former vice president of Apostolic of Prayer. 

Survivors: her sons, Michael III and Randy P.; grandchildren, Randy Jr. and Isabella; brothers, Paul Jr. and John; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Christopher, and siblings, Peter, Anna Lauser, Mary Nush, Rose Radon, Nancy Krynick, and Irene Mitch. 

Services: Divine Liturgy will be held on Friday, May 1st at 11:00 a.m. in St John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1343 Newport Ave., Northampton. A viewing will be held Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
