Carol Pohranichny, 70, of Allen Township, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023, in her home surrounded by her family. Born on April 30, 1952, in Hokendauqua, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Angela (Stelzman) Matika. Carol and her husband, Dennis, celebrated 49 years of marriage together. She was a graduate of Whitehall High School class of 1970 and Allentown School of Cosmetology. She was employed in quality control for Hartford, retiring in 2013. In addition, she worked in customer service for Prudential and AARP for several years.

Survivors: In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by daughters, Rachel Kerchner and husband, Scott, and Dr. Melissa Heron and husband, James, of Springfield, PA; grandchildren, Jacob, Isabella, Alexis, Shane; great-granddaughter, Amara; sister, Barbara Newhart. Carol is preceded in death by her brother, Edward.

Services: A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 14th at 11:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st Street, Northampton. Family and friends may gather Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
