Carol A. Makovsky, 68, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 10, 2022. Born December 26, 1953 in Allentown, she was the daughter of Farrest and Patricia (McElroy) Marushak. She was married to Dennis J. Makovsky with whom she celebrated 49 years of marriage. Carol was a secretary for Stuyvesant Insurance, the Diocese of Allentown, and Vitalistic Therapeutic Center. She was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church; Daughters of the American Revolution; and the VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors: Husband; daughter Rachel Spiegel and husband Thomas; sons Mark Makovsky and partner Melissa Yeisley, Adam Makovsky and wife Yixin; grandchildren Jude Luckenbill and fiancé Andrew Frisch, Bailey Luckenbill and partner Alyssa Gaulden; Mabel Makovsky, Mallory Makovsky, and Pearl Makovsky; sister Kathy Gerhard; brothers James Marushak and wife Brenda, Neil Marushak and wife Lynne.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church. Family and friends may call Monday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 ^st St., Northampton. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
