Carol A. Gessner, 63, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Carol and her husband, Richard P., celebrated 44 years of marriage on Sept. 18 ^th . Born July 31, 1957 in Fountain Hill, she was a daughter of the late Carl A. Kresge Sr. and Betty J. (Dotter) Kresge and stepdaughter to the late Paul Koval. Carol worked as an instructional assistant at CLIU 21 for many years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and making homemade candy for family and friends. Carol also enjoyed making crafts, especially sewing and quilting. She loved to play bingo, spend time at the casino, and sing karaoke. Carol was truly kindhearted to everyone she met. Those who loved her and will miss her know the lasting impression she has left on others.

In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by sons, Jason, Todd P. and significant other, Julie; grandson, Dylan and fiancé, Sarah; sisters, Donna Kern and Bonnie George and husband, Paul; brother, Carl A. "Butch" Kresge Jr.; in-laws, Philip and Lottie Gessner; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and brothers and sisters-in-law. Carol was predeceased by nephew, Larry Salter, Jr.

Services: Funeral service will be held on Tues., May 18 ^th at 11:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 ^st St., Northampton. Family and friends may call Monday night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Arlington Memorial Park, Whitehall. Those in attendance will kindly be requested to practice social distancing and wear a face cover. Online condolences may be offered below.
