Carol A. Confer, 71, of Whitehall, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022, in Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. Born on August 2, 1951, in Coplay, she was a daughter of Ida M. (Semler) Simon and the late Joseph S. Simon. Carol and her husband, Bruce, celebrated 31 years of marriage together. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Kutztown University. Carol was a teacher at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic School, Christ the King School, and retired from Good Shepherd Catholic School in 2015 after 41 years of teaching. She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Whitehall, where she served as Eucharistic Minister for many years. She was active in the school drama programs throughout her teaching career. She was an avid Philadelphia Flyers, Phillies, Eagles and Sixers fan.

Survivors: In addition to her husband and mother, Carol is survived by her stepson, Brad and wife, Lauren Confer; step-grandchild, Taylor; brothers, Joseph and wife, Maureen Simon, and Mark Simon; and niece, Shelby.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 21 ^st at 10:00 a.m. in the church, 4456 Main St., Whitehall. Family and friends may call on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 ^st St., Northampton. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery, Whitehall.
