Obituary

Bruce J. Gold, 90, of Hanover Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Margaret Jane (McPherson), who passed away in November 1997, and the late Monica J. (Frisch), who passed away in September 2012. Born October 3, 1934, in Nazareth, he was the son of the late Stanley Gold and the late Evelyn (VanWhy) Gold-Troxell. Bruce was a 1952 graduate of William Allen High School. He continued his education at Lehigh University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1956. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army.   Bruce worked at PPL for 38 years elevating to Superintendent of the Martins Creek Facility. After retiring, he volunteered with AARP assisting individuals with filing their personal taxes. Bruce was a member of Christ UCC, Schoenersville. He was an avid golfer. Bruce loved spending time with his family, especially enjoying summer days around the pool.

Survivors: his children, Stephanie Koch and husband, Richard, Scott and wife, Amy, and Stuart and wife, Christine; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and girlfriend, Cheryl Wentz.

Services: Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 22nd at 11:00 a.m. in Christ UCC, Schoenersville, 5050 Airport Rd., Allentown, PA 18109. Family and friends may gather on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Nazareth.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the church in Bruce's memory. Online condolences may be offered below.
