Obituary

Bernadine Kurzeja, 86, of Northampton, passed away on Saturday, May 6 , 2023, at Parkland Manor surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late John Kurzeja. Born September 15, 1936, in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Stephen A. and Anna M. (Zadzora) Molchany. Bernadine retired from Day-Timers Inc. after many years of employment. She was a dedicated member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Northampton. She enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed playing the slot machines at the Atlantic City Casinos and was a member of the Ladies PA Slovak Catholic Union.

Survivors: sons, John Kurzeja and wife, Tami, Steven Kurzeja and wife, Natalie; grandchildren, Emily, Brandon and Logan; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Bernadine was predeceased by her sisters, Marie and Elaine, and brothers, Bernard and Richard.

Services: Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 12 th at 10:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 st St., Northampton. Family and friends may call Friday 9 – 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery.
