Berdell A. Haines, 85, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. Born May 18, 1938, in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Holota) Marchak. Berdell was a 1956 graduate of Northampton High School. She was the bookkeeper for her son's business, Artistic Hardscapes Inc., for many years. Berdell was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, especially hosting Sunday family dinners. Her family was her pride and joy.

Survivors: daughter, Lu Ann Tressel and husband, Terry; son, Rick and wife, Lynn Marie; grandsons, Tyler and Alex; and brother, James Marchak. Berdell was predeceased by her brothers, Frederick and Edward.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 22nd at 10:00 a.m. in Assumption BVM Church, 22nd and Washington Ave., Northampton. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
