Obituary

Anna C. Pristash, 87, formerly of Whitehall, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Bethlehem Manor. Born on July 21, 1934, in Frackville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Catherine (Yatcilla) Chabon. She was the widow of the late Paul Pristash. Anna was employed by Hess's/Bon-Ton Distribution Center for many years. She began her working career at the former Western Electric. Anna was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Northampton. She volunteered with the church in making pierogies. She loved to polka dance and we know she is doing the polka with her dance partner, Paul, in Heaven.

Anna is survived by her daughter, Patricia Kearney-Aroniss; son, David Pristash (Robyn); 5 grandchildren, Meghan Kish (Ryan), Jessica Metzger (Thomas), Joshua, Drake, and Britani Pristash; 3 great-grandchildren, Alexander Kish, Julianna Kish, and Maggie Metzger; and several nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by her brothers, William Chabon, Nicholas Chabon, Peter Chabon, and Joseph Chabon.

Services: A Parastas will be held on Friday, April 1 st at 10:00 a.m. in the church, 1343 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call on Friday from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 st St., Northampton. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to Family Pillars Hospice-Bethlehem, 3910 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017. They will forever be thankful to the kind, compassionate women, who helped their mother to find peace during her difficult journey home. Online condolences may be offered below.
