Anna T. Feichtel, 97, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Sacred Heart Assisted Living surrounded by her loving family. Born August 4, 1927, in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Stubits) Marakovits. Anna and her late husband, John Feichtel, were married for 70 years. Anna worked at Tama Manufacturing and as a banquet waitress at the Holiday Inn. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially making pogachels and cakes. She loved making Austrian dishes and volunteering her time and cooking talents to the church for fundraisers. She enjoyed listening and dancing to polka music. Anna was a devout member of Queenship of Mary Church, where she was a member of the Women's Guild. She was also very active with the former Friendly Fifties.
Anna is survived by her loving family, including her sons, Thomas and his wife, Dolly, John Jr. and his wife, Susan, Joe and his wife, Tammy; a daughter, Anita Smith and her husband, Mike; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph and James Marakovits. Anna was predeceased by her son, James; brothers, John and Stephen Marakovits; sisters, Helen Keeney, Mary Schwartz, and Theresa Renner.
Services: Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, January 7th from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered below.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be presented to Queenship of Mary Church in loving memory of Anna.
