Obituary

Anette E. Velekei, 64 of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.

Anette was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was devoted to her family. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, being out in nature and was a talented home cook who loved trying out new recipes.

Born on June 17, 1959 in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Frances I. (LaMoria) Alban. Anette retired from Quest Diagnostics in 2021 after a long and successful career as an IT project manager. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Coplay.

Survivors: Anette is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Alyssa and husband Brian Lada, Katie Velekei and husband Robert Phillips; 4 granddaughters; brothers, David and wife Susan, Ralph Alban; sister, Diane Alban Knotek; sister-in-law, Susan Alban, and many nieces and nephews. Brother, Joseph preceded Anette in death.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 5th at 1:30 p.m. in St. Peter's Church, 4 So. 5th St, Coplay. Family and friends may gather on Tuesday from 12:15 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. in the church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Reichel Funeral Home, Northampton. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in loving memory of Anette.
