Andrew John “Gabo” Gabovitz, 47, of Northampton, passed away at home on Friday, August 14, 2026. Born January 29, 1979, in Allentown, he was the son of the late James A. and Mary M. (Gallagher) Gabovitz. Andrew graduated from Northampton High School and worked for several years as a landscaper and groundskeeper at Moravian University. He was a member of Alliance Fire Co., the Egypt VFW, and Grouse Hall Fish & Game. An avid Boston Red Sox fan, Andrew enjoyed playing softball, cornhole, and darts, as well as traveling to West Virginia with his Royer family. 

Andrew is survived by his daughters, Vanessa Gabovitz and her partner, Nathan Sanno, and Brooke Gabovitz; his brother, Joseph Gabovitz and his wife, Janet Tashner; his niece, Stella Gabovitz; his nephew, Samuel Gabovitz; and several cousins. 

Services: A gathering with the family will be held on Sunday, August 23rd from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton.
