Obituary

Ambrose A. "Butch" Schock Jr., 68 of Northampton, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. Born on September 28, 1955 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Ambrose and Evelyn (Huber) Schock Sr. Butch and his wife, Kathleen (Ifkovits) celebrated 27 years of marriage together. He was a graduate of Liberty High School and employed as an assembler for Automatic Devices Company (ADC) for 35 years. In addition, Butch worked for Fritch Inc. as a driver for several years. He was a member of St. Paul UCC, Northampton. Butch also was a member of the Alliance Fire Co., Northampton Liederkranz and the St. Peter and Paul Society. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed woodworking, Nascar and spending time with his granddaughters.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, Butch is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Wanamaker and husband James; son, Jason Schock; granddaughters, Natalie, Sophia, Molly and his loving in-law family.

Services: Family and friends may call on Friday, July 19th from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St. Northampton. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Northampton. Online condolences may be offered below.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or to the Carbon County Environmental Education Center in loving memory of Butch.
