Obituary

Alvin "Ivy" J. Schloffer, 90 of Northampton, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. Born on July 9, 1934, in Northampton, he was a son of the late John and Katherine (Milkovits) Schloffer. Alvin and his wife, Pauline (Kroboth) celebrated 68 years of marriage together. He was employed as a route salesman for Mary McIntosh and a truck driver for A&B Meats for many years. Alvin was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, Northampton. He also was a member of Tri-Boro Sportsmen Club. Alvin honorably served our country in the US Army as a Sp4 tank driver with the 69th armored division at Fort Benning, GA.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, Alvin is survived by his daughter, Carol Reinhard and husband Thomas; grandchildren, Brooke, Taylor and great grandchildren, Cameron and Quinn. His son, David and brother, John preceded Alvin in death.

Services:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 16th at 11:00 a.m. in the church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Interment will be private.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church or Northampton Regional EMS in loving memory of Alvin. Online condolences may be offered below.
