Alfred A. Gabriel, 90, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. Alfred and his wife, Verna (Glose), celebrated 71 years of marriage on September 2 ^nd . Born October 8, 1931, in Northampton, he was the son of the late Alois and Josephine (Kern) Gabriel. Alfred worked as a foreman at Bethlehem Steel for many years. He was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay.

In addition to his wife, Alfred is survived by his children, Brenda Ross (Frank), Kathy Stott, and Alfred Jr. (Roseann); 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and sister, Emma Brooks and husband, Frank. Alfred was predeceased by a sister and a brother.

Services: Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 21 ^st at 10:30 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 ^st St., Northampton. Family and friends may call on Monday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Whitehall. Those in attendance will kindly be asked to wear a face cover and practice social distancing. Online condolences may be offered below.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for the great-grandchildren's education in loving memory of Alfred.
