Obituary

Alan R. Hewko, 62, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2023 in Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia. Born September 18, 1960 in Allentown, he was the son of Frances J. (Buzza) Hewko of Northampton and the late Ben Hewko. Alan was the proprietor and photographer of DeChristopher Studio in Allentown. He was also the Promoter for Sunset Productions, where he brought acts such as Faith Hill, Chicago, David Copperfield and many others, as well as off-Broadway shows to cities throughout the United States. He was a member of the Catholic faith. He loved the arts, going to museums, traveling, reading, and working on computers, and most of all spending time with family.

Survivors: Mother; sister Carol Meyers and husband Jack of Whitehall; nephews Matt and Tyler Meyers whom he loved and adored; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 27th at 10:00 a.m. in Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 8:15 – 9:15 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Interment will follow in Assumption of the Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Northampton. Online condolences may be submitted below.
