Agnes P. Smith, 100, of Coplay, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home in Allentown. Born February 18, 1926, in Ormrod, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Aniela (Zelen) Zwitrowicz. Agnes graduated from South Whitehall High School in 1944. She worked for 25 years as a secretary in the research department at Lehigh Portland Cement and later spent 17 years as a teller at Merchants Bank. Agnes was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Whitehall and a former member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Northampton, where she belonged to the Rosary Society for many years. She was also a member of St. John’s Friendly Fifties and the NOVA auxiliary. An avid reader, Agnes enjoyed knitting and needlework. 

She is survived by two nieces, one nephew, two great-nieces, two great-nephews, and three great-great-nephews. In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by her sisters, Josephine Schwab, Catherine Lukasevich, and Helen Smith, and her brothers, Benjamin Smith, Taden Zwitrowicz, and William Smith. 

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 29th at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 4456 Main St., Whitehall. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass begins. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery in Northampton.
